Wallet · Merchant guide
A Membership Tier is one level of your loyalty program: a number, a name, a discount, and the look it takes in the customer’s wallet. Stack a few tiers, drop your members into them, and your best customers carry a card that pays them back every visit.
Reward your regulars
Each tier carries a discount percentage that its members get automatically. The more valuable the tier, the bigger the reward.
Your brand in their wallet
Every tier gets two Payment Designs, one for the membership card and one for the points, so the loyalty program looks like you.
See what it earns
Each tier keeps a running count of its members and a Redemptions log, so you can read what the program is actually doing.
How the pieces fit together
You set it up
Create your tiers
Give each level a Tier Number, a name, a discount percentage, and pick the two Payment Designs it uses. A higher number normally means a more valuable tier.
You add members
Put your members into tiers
Club members are managed on their own page. When you upload members, the Tier Number is how the system decides which member lands in which tier, so the numbers you set here are the keys that upload reads.
They carry it
The card and points appear in their wallet
Each member sees their tier’s card and their points balance in the digital wallet, styled with the Payment Designs you chose. No app to install first.
Creating a tier
You build each tier from five fields, then click Create. Selecting a Payment Design enables its View button so you can preview the card before you save.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tier Number | The tier’s identifying number. This is also the key your Club Members upload uses to place each member, so it is more than a label (see the note below). A higher number normally means a more valuable tier. |
| Tier Name | What the tier is called. Pick names that fit your business, not just Bronze / Silver / Gold. |
| Tier Discount | The discount percentage every member of this tier receives. |
| Tier Design | The Payment Design the customer sees when they open their membership card in the wallet. Choose one of your saved designs. |
| Points Design | The Payment Design the customer sees when they view their points. A separate look from the card itself. |
Pro tip: name your tiers for your audience. The best tier names match your industry and your customers. A restaurant will get more out of “The Regular”, “Big Tipper” and “VIP” than out of Bronze, Silver and Gold.
The two designs, and why they are separate
A tier carries two Payment Designs because a member sees two different things in their wallet.
Tier Design
The membership card itself: the level the customer belongs to. This is what shows when they open their membership in the wallet.
Points Design
The member’s points balance, shown as its own card. Style it however you like; it does not have to match the tier card.
Members live on their own page
You create the tiers here, but you add and manage the people in them on the Club Members page. That is where you upload your member list, and the upload uses each row’s Tier Number to sort members into the tiers you built here. Set your tiers up first, then bring the members in.
Tier Number is how your uploads find a tier, so keep it stable once you are importing. Your existing members are tied to the tier itself, not to its number, so renumbering a tier never moves or drops anyone already in it. The catch is the Club Members upload: it matches each row to a tier by Tier Number, so if you change a number after you have shared or reused an upload template, later uploads that still carry the old number will land people in the wrong tier. Settle your numbering before you import at any scale.
Reading a tier’s results
Your tier list shows every tier with its member count and its two designs. Two buttons open on each row:
| Log | What it shows |
|---|---|
| History | A record of the tier over time: its name, number, discount, designs and whether it is active, with the date of each entry. |
| Redemptions | Every discount applied and refunded for that tier, with the terminal and register it happened on, the amount, and a running total. |
Good to know
Higher number, more valuable tier. The Tier Number can double as your ranking. A common setup is your top tier at 100 and your entry tier at 0.
Archiving hides a tier, it does not delete it. Archive a tier to clear it from your list; it keeps working for any memberships already tied to it. Flip the Archive toggle above the list to show archived tiers again.
Preview before you commit. Once you pick a Tier Design or Points Design, the View button next to it shows the card exactly as the customer will see it in their wallet.
Why it matters
A tier is a reason to come back. A member who carries a card that pays them back on every visit has a reason to choose you over the shop next door, and to climb toward the tier above. Set the numbers once, name the tiers for your crowd, and let the members you upload find their level.
