Wallet · Merchant guide
Events is your what’s-on board inside the wallet: the shows, classes, conferences and celebrations you want people to turn up for. List one, and everyone who opens your wallet sees it, until its start time passes and it clears itself away.
A reason to come back
A live list of what is coming up gives a visitor a reason to open your wallet again and a date to put in their calendar.
No cleanup, ever
Once an event’s start time passes it disappears from your wallet on its own. Nothing to remember, nothing to tidy up after the date.
One place for everything on
Shows, classes, conferences, celebrations: whatever you are running, it lives in one board people already have on their phone.
How an event works
You add it
Create the event
Give it a title, a start date and time, and as much else as you want: a description, an image, a price, and a link out to more details or booking. Save it and it is live in your wallet immediately.
People see it
Everyone who opens your wallet finds it
Your events show in the order you set, so the thing you most want people at can sit on top. Use Preview Events at any time to see the page exactly as a customer will.
Building an event
You fill in one form per event. Only a title and a start date and time really carry the event; everything else is there to make it more compelling.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | The name of the event, shown in bold at the top of each listing. Make it the thing people would recognise on a poster. |
| URL | An optional link out: a booking page, a full write-up, a map, wherever you want people to go for more. It shows as a tappable link on the event. |
| Start Date and Time | When the event begins. This is also the moment the event hides itself from visitors, so set it to the real start time. |
| Price | What it costs to attend. Leave it blank or set it to 0 and the event shows as FREE; any other amount shows in your currency. |
| Sold Out | A toggle. Flip it on to keep the event visible but stamped SOLD OUT, so people can see it happened and sold through rather than wondering where it went. |
| Description | The details: what it is, who it is for, what to expect. Line breaks are kept, so you can lay it out cleanly. |
| Image | An optional picture for the listing. Attach one to make the event stand out on the board. |
Once you have a few events, drag them by the handle to set the order visitors see them in, and use the pencil on any listing to edit it.
What your visitor sees
Open Preview Events to view the board through a customer’s eyes before anyone else does. Each event shows its image, title, price, start date and time, and description, in the order you arranged. Anything whose start time has already passed simply is not there. Share the page with the QR Code button: print it, put it on a table tent or a flyer, and a scan opens your events straight in the wallet.
Events vs Tickets
Events lists what is happening. Tickets hands people actual admission. They are built to work together, but they are two different tools.
Events
The what’s-on board. It tells people an event exists, when it is, and where to find out more. It does not, by itself, give anyone entry.
Tickets
Real, scannable admission issued against an event. To use it, create the event here first, then open Manage Tickets to issue tickets for it. Tickets is a separate feature on your plan, so the button prompts you to upgrade if it is not included yet.
Good to know
Past events disappear on their own. Once the start date and time has passed, the event hides itself from your wallet. There is no cleanup step and nothing expires that you have to chase.
A past date hides the event straight away. Because the start time is what pulls an event off the board, setting one in the past means visitors never see it. The form warns you when the date you pick has already passed.
Sold Out keeps an event up, it does not remove it. Use the toggle when something has sold through but you still want people to see it ran and was full. To take an event off your list entirely, archive it instead.
Archiving hides, it does not delete. Archive an event you are finished with to clear it from your list; any link tied to it keeps working. Flip the Archive toggle on your list to see archived events again.
Why it matters
A wallet full of what’s coming up gives people a reason to keep it. Every event you list is another prompt to open your wallet, another date to save, another chance to turn a casual visitor into someone standing in your room. And because past events clear themselves, the board is always current without you ever tending it.
