How Prizes work

Wallet · Merchant guide

A Prize is a real discount you attach to any advertisement as a QR code. A stranger scans it, instantly earns the reward in their digital wallet, and walks in to redeem it, and you see every scan and every sale it created, ad by ad.

A real reward, not a code
Scanning issues the customer their own redeemable prize in the wallet. No app download and no account needed first.

Attribution built in
Put a unique Prize QR on each ad and see exactly which one earned scans and which turned into paying customers.

Visitor to Customer
A discount of real value gives a stranger a reason to walk in and buy. That is the whole point of the Prize.

The journey a Prize takes

You publish it

Attach a Prize QR to an advertisement

Create the prize, download its QR code as a PNG or SVG, and drop it onto any ad: a magazine page, a flyer, a poster, in-store signage, or a game like a wheel spin.

A stranger scans

Someone who has never heard of you scans the code

That scan is counted the moment it happens, so an ad that used to be a guess becomes a number you can read.

They earn the reward

The platform issues them their own prize

Each person who scans receives their own redeemable copy of the discount you set, delivered into their digital wallet. Prizes never expire on a timer, so a scan today can be redeemed next month.

They walk in

The discount is redeemed in store

The customer shows the prize in their wallet; your staff scan it with the Merchant Scanner to apply the discount. That moment is a Visitor becoming a Customer.

You measure it

Every scan and redemption is tracked

Scans, redemptions and refunds all land in the prize’s Scans table and in your Prizes analytics, broken out per ad, so you know which advertisement paid for itself.

Creating a Prize

You build the prize from four fields. Keep the Title descriptive: it is how you tell your prizes apart everywhere they are reported.

Field What it does
Title Names the ad or game this prize belongs to, for example “Men’s Health, June issue” or “Wheel Spin”. This label is what your reporting is grouped by.
Payment Design The look the customer sees in their wallet. Reuse one of your saved designs so a prize matches the rest of your brand.
Maximum # of uses Caps how many times the prize can be redeemed in total, so a single ad cannot run away with your margin.
Discount Value The reward itself. The Type toggle switches between a currency amount ($10 off) and a percentage (10% off).

The QR code appears after you click Create, not before. Once the prize exists you get its generated link and a download in PNG or SVG for your artwork, a wand button to apply one of your saved QR Code Designs, a Preview of what the customer will see, and a Scans table listing every scan with its redemption and refund status. The Open list shows every prize you have created, with a toggle for archived ones.

What your customer sees

Scanning the code drops the customer straight onto their own prize inside the digital wallet: the discount you set, styled with your Payment Design, ready to redeem. There is nothing to install first and no date to beat, so the prize waits for them until your redemption limit is reached or you retire it. At the counter they open the prize and your staff scan its code to apply the discount.

Reading your results

Your Prizes analytics plot scans, redemptions and refunds both over time and per prize, put each prize’s usage cap next to what actually happened to it, and total the whole thing into a funnel so you can see where people drop off between scanning and redeeming. One distinction makes all of it readable:

Prize
The campaign: the thing you attach to an advertisement as a QR code. One prize, one ad.

Prize Earned
One customer’s redeemable copy of that prize. It is what lets you mark that person’s discount redeemed without touching anyone else who won the same prize.

Good to know

Your own testing counts. Opening a prize link registers a scan and issues a redeemable item, exactly as a customer’s scan would, so your test runs show up in the Scans table and in your analytics. Test with that in mind.

Prizes never expire on a timer. A saved Prize stays redeemable until your redemption limit (Maximum # of uses) is reached or you retire the Prize. There is no date to beat, which is why one shows as a single point in your calendar rather than a range.

The QR is generated on Create. There is no code to place until the prize exists, so build it first, then download the QR for your artwork.

Archiving hides, it does not delete. Archive a finished prize to clear your list, and flip the Archive toggle to bring it back.

Why it matters

Putting the code on the ad ends the guessing. Instead of wondering which channel worked, you see which advertisement earned scans and which earned redemptions, and you stop paying for the ones that did neither. A prize of real value gives a stranger a reason to walk in and buy, which is exactly how a Visitor becomes a Customer.
