Wallet · Merchant guide
Turn any long link into a short Wallet link with its own QR code, then see every scan: when, where, and on what device. It is the difference between hoping an ad worked and knowing which one did.
One short link, one QR code
Paste a long destination and save. You get a tidy short link to share and a QR code to print, both pointing at the same place.
Every visit is counted
Each scan or click is logged with its date, city, country, device, and whether the visitor was signed in to their wallet.
Know what worked
Give each link a nickname, put a different one on each ad, post, or email, and see which channel actually drove your traffic.
How a short link works
You create it
Nickname it and paste the destination
Give the link a nickname you will recognise later, paste the full destination into “Target Website or Page”, and click Create. Wallet generates the short link and a matching QR code.
You share it
Put it anywhere
Copy the short link with the clone icon and drop it into an SMS, an email, a social post, or a bio. Download the QR code for print, packaging, or signage.
A visitor acts
Someone clicks or scans
The visitor taps the link or scans the code with their phone. That action is counted the moment it happens.
Creating a short link
You build a link from two fields. Everything else is generated for you.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Nickname | A private label so you can tell your links apart later. It is never shown to visitors, and you can change it any time without affecting clicks or traffic. A convention like “SMS: Promo-Xmas” or “Twitter: Weight-loss blog” makes reporting easy to read. |
| Target Website or Page | The destination: the full link, URI, or URL you want your traffic to arrive at. It must start with http:// or https://. |
| Generated Tiny Link / URL | The short Wallet link, created for you after you click Create. You cannot edit it. Copy it with the clone icon next to the field. |
The short link and QR code appear after you click Create, not before. Once the link exists you get the short link to copy, a QR code you can Preview, a wand button to apply one of your saved QR Code Designs, and a download in PNG or SVG for print, packaging, or signage. Use the Open list to see every link you have created, with a toggle for archived ones.
Reading your results
Open any link and its visits appear in the “Barcode Scans / Page Visits” table, one row per click or scan, with a running total at the top.
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Date/Time | When the visit happened. |
| City / Country | Where the visitor was, as far as their connection reveals. |
| Timezone | The visitor’s local timezone. |
| Browser / Device | The browser and operating system used. |
| Mobile | Whether the visit came from a phone. |
| Authenticated | Whether the visitor was already signed in to their wallet. |
Good to know
Tracking parameters go on the destination, not the short link. Anything you append to the short Wallet link itself is ignored. The redirect always sends the visitor to the destination exactly as you saved it, so put any tracking parameters in the “Target Website or Page” field before you save, not on the short link you share.
Use one nickname per channel. Because you can create as many links as you like, give each ad, email, or post its own link and nickname. Then the visit counts tell you which channel actually worked, instead of blending everything together.
The QR code is generated on Create. There is no code to place until the link exists, so create it first, then download the QR in PNG or SVG for your artwork.
Archiving hides, it does not delete. Archive a finished link to clear your list, then flip the Archive toggle in the Open list to bring it back.
Pro tip: UTM links, minus the ugly URL
Professional marketers use “UTM” links to tell which ad, email, or post actually drove the traffic, but those links get long and ugly to share. Build the full UTM link as your destination here, then share the short Wallet link everywhere instead. Your visitors see a clean link, and you still get the attribution, plus Wallet’s own scan-by-scan record on top.
