Send a personal offer with Static Vouchers

Wallet · Merchant guide

A Static Voucher is a one-off comp made for one named customer. You set the offer, preview exactly what they will see, then text it straight to their phone as their own personal wallet link.

Personal to one customer
The voucher is tied to a single member, so it lands in their wallet and nobody else’s. Perfect for a make-good, a loyalty thank-you, or a one-time comp.

Not a shared code
Unlike a Promotion, where everyone redeems the same code, a Static Voucher belongs to the person you send it to.

Preview, then send
See the voucher exactly as the customer will, then send it as a text so it arrives on their phone ready to use.

Static Voucher or Promotion?

Pick the right tool before you build. They look similar in the wallet but work very differently.

Static Voucher
A personal offer for one named customer. You enter their Member ID, and the voucher is theirs alone.

Promotion
A single code you share with everyone at once. Any customer can redeem the same promo code.

Sending the same offer to many customers? Use the Single Voucher Campaign page instead. It takes a CSV upload so you can issue one offer to a whole list of customers in one go. This guide stays on the single, one-to-one voucher.

The journey a Static Voucher takes

You issue it

Build the voucher for one customer

Enter the customer’s Member ID and mobile number, set the offer, choose the dates it is valid and the Payment Design it wears, and click Create.

You preview it

Check it looks right before it goes out

Once created, a preview panel appears. View Voucher shows it exactly as the customer will see it in their wallet.

You text it

Send their personal wallet link

Send takes you to the SMS page, where you text the customer the link to their own voucher. This step needs an SMS or MMS plan.

They redeem it

The offer is applied in store

The customer opens the voucher in their wallet and your staff redeem it at the counter, at any register you allowed.

You measure it

See what the voucher did

Show Analysis charts messages sent and delivered, wallet views, redemptions and refunds for that voucher, so you know whether the comp landed.

Creating the voucher

You fill in two short panels: who it is for, and what the offer is.

Field What it does
Member ID The registered member this voucher belongs to. You can find a customer’s Member ID on their Club Member page under Memberships.
Cell Phone Number The customer’s registered mobile number, used when you text them the voucher.
Offer Amount The value of the offer.
Value Type A toggle that switches the Offer Amount between a currency amount and a percentage.
Title A name for this voucher so you can tell it apart in your list and analytics. You can change it any time.
Date Range The dates and times the voucher is valid.
Payment Design The look the voucher wears in the customer’s wallet. Reuse a saved design, or create a new one.
Valid Only at POS Optional. Restrict the voucher to specific registers. Leave it empty and it works at all of them.
Display Value Optional. Text that replaces the raw amount on the card (see the Pro Tip below).
Notes Optional internal notes. They are for your team and show on the calendar, not to the customer.

Pro Tip: show words instead of a number. To display something other than the raw amount, type it into Display Value, for example “50% off any entree”. It replaces what appears on the card, which is ideal for percentage offers.

After you click Create

The preview panel appears next to the form.

  • View Voucher shows the voucher exactly as the customer will see it in their wallet.
  • Send takes you to the SMS page to text the customer their personal wallet link. This needs an SMS or MMS plan.
  • Open lists every voucher you have issued here, so you can reopen and edit one later.

Reading your results

Open the voucher and click Show Analysis to see how it performed: messages sent and delivered, wallet views, redemptions and refunds, all for that one voucher.

Good to know

The customer must be a registered member. A Static Voucher is issued against a Member ID, so the person needs to exist as a member before you can send them one. Look up their Member ID on their Club Member page under Memberships.

Sending is a separate step and needs a plan. Creating the voucher does not text it. Use Send to reach the SMS page, which requires an SMS or MMS plan.

Deactivating pulls it from the wallet. If you deactivate a voucher, it is immediately disabled in the customer’s digital wallet. You can reactivate it again later.

One offer, many customers? That is the Single Voucher Campaign page, which uploads a CSV. This page is for one voucher at a time.

Why it matters

A personal offer feels personal. A voucher made for one named customer, delivered straight to their phone, is a far warmer touch than a code the whole world already has. That is how a good comp turns a customer into a regular.
