Share contacts with Virtual Business Cards

Wallet · Merchant guide

A Virtual Business Card is a scannable digital card for each person on your team. One tap calls, messages on WhatsApp, emails, saves your contact into the visitor’s phone, or opens your socials. Share it as a QR code or a link, and watch a log of everyone who opened it.

One tap, straight into their phone
Call, WhatsApp, Email and a Save Contact button that drops a contact file into the visitor’s phone. No app to install, no paper to lose.

A card per team member
Give every rep, agent or manager their own card with their own QR code, so a handshake or a badge scan turns into a saved contact.

You see who opened it
Each card keeps its own Views log, so you can tell which cards are actually being used rather than just handed out.

What the visitor sees

Each card is its own page inside the digital wallet: your header image, the person’s photo, their name, designation and introduction, then the action buttons and a row of social icons.

Only the fields you fill in appear. Leave a box empty and its button simply does not show, so a card with no WhatsApp number has no WhatsApp button. The buttons come straight from your form:

Button Comes from What one tap does
Call Phone Number Dials the number on the visitor’s phone.
WhatsApp WhatsApp Opens a WhatsApp chat with that number.
Email Email Address Starts a new email to that address.
Save Contact The card’s details Saves a contact file into the visitor’s phone in one tap.
Social icons Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn Opens that profile.

Building a card

Fill in the form, then click Create. Keep the details accurate to the person: this is the contact your visitor saves.

Field What it does
First Name, Last Name The person’s name, shown on the card and in the saved contact.
Email Address Powers the Email button.
Designation Their role or title, shown under the name.
Phone Number Powers the Call button.
Introduction A short line or two about the person, shown on the card.
WhatsApp Powers the WhatsApp button. Digits and a country code, see the note below.
Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn Your handle for each, see the handle note below. Each one you fill in adds its social icon.
Attach Image The person’s photo, see the photo note below.

The QR code, the short link and the Views table appear only once the card exists. Create it first, share it second. Once it is saved you get its generated wallet link to copy, a QR code you can download as PNG or SVG, a wand button beside the code to apply one of your saved QR Code Design templates, and a Preview of exactly what the visitor will see.

Finding your cards

Use Open in the page header to browse the cards you have already created. Inside that list, flip the Archive toggle to see archived ones. Click a card to edit it, download its code again, or archive it.

The journey a card takes

You create it

Fill in the form and click Create

Enter the person’s details and their handles, attach a photo, and save. The QR code and short link are generated for you the moment the card exists.

You share it

Put the card where people meet the person

Download the QR as PNG or SVG for a badge, a business-card print, an email signature or in-store signage, or copy the link to send it directly.

A visitor opens it

Someone scans or taps and sees the card

They land on the person’s card in the wallet, with nothing to install first. That open is recorded.

They act

They save the contact or tap through

One tap to call, message, email, save the contact into their phone, or open a social profile. The person is now in the visitor’s phone, not on a card that gets thrown away.

You measure it

Every open is logged per card

The Views table records each open, so you can see which cards, and which team members, are actually getting scanned.

Reading your Views

Every card carries its own Views log. Each open records the date and time, the timezone, the device, operating system and browser, the city and country, and whether that visitor had verified their phone number. Because it is per card, you can see which member of the team is actually getting their card scanned.

Good to know

Social fields take a handle, not a web address. The wallet builds the link for you, adding your handle onto Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or LinkedIn, so pasting a full address makes a broken link. Type yourname, not https://instagram.com/yourname. The faint example text inside those boxes shows a full URL and is misleading; the warning that pops up as you type is the one to trust.

WhatsApp needs digits and a country code. Spaces, brackets and full stops are stripped for you, but hyphens are not, and a hyphen breaks the link. Enter it as 15551234567 rather than 1-555-123-4567.

The photo should be square. At least 120 x 120 pixels (around 240 x 240 looks best) and 2 MB or less. A square photo keeps the card looking clean in the wallet.

Archiving does not break the link. Anyone who scans an archived card, from a printed badge or an old email signature, is redirected to your wallet landing page instead. That is exactly what you want when someone leaves the business. Archiving hides the card from your list; flip the Archive toggle to bring it back.

The QR is generated on Create. There is nothing to place until the card exists, so build it first, then download the QR or copy the link. Download SVG when it is going to print or large-format signage and PNG for screens, and use the wand icon beside the code to apply one of your QR Code Design templates so every card matches your branding.

Why it matters

A paper card gets lost; a saved contact stays. With one tap a visitor calls, messages, or drops the person straight into their phone, and you see every card that got opened and which team members are actually being scanned. That is a stranger becoming a contact you can reach, which is how a Visitor turns into a Customer.
